Our Mission: Addressing an Unmet Need

Cataract surgery is the most routinely performed surgery in the world with approximately 32 million procedures expected to be performed this year.¹ Up to 20% of patients who need cataract surgery also have glaucoma or ocular hypertension.² However, even though cataract surgery provides an optimal window for glaucoma treatment, it has not become a routine consideration for cataract patients.

At Elios Vision, we see an opportunity to address one of the most common causes of blindness in the world during the most commonly performed surgical procedure in the world. Our goal is to make combining cataract and glaucoma treatment the new standard of care.
