He is part of the Italian Glaucoma Association Board. He has been trained in cataract, lid and retinal surgery.

Francesco Oddone is the Head of the Glaucoma Unit at the Britannic Hospital of the IRCCS Fondazione Bietti in Rome where he coordinates a team of surgeons and a team of clinical and basic science researchers. He is member of the executive committee of the Italian Association for the Study of Glaucoma, of the Italian Perimetry and Imaging Society.
